 The Bonner County Human Rights Task Force reaffirms our commitment to supporting the dignity and worth of each human being.  Next month we will celebrate Global Human Rights day by honoring the work of five amazing local women who have done exceptional work in support of Human Rights.  Please join us for an evening of camaraderie and inspiration.  Find out more below and consider volunteering 30 minutes just before or after to help make this event a success.                         

Come together with us on Global Human Rights Day 
as we honor the work of five local activists. 
We will celebrate the significance of their work during an evening filled with inspiration, engaging discussions, and music. This event is a great opportunity to connect, learn and be a part of a local as well as global movement for justice and equality. Don't miss out on this chance to make a difference and celebrate human rights with us!
Pizza, salad and dessert will be served prior to the program. Vegetarian options available.

Giving Back at the Bridge 
Verdant Plants on the 2nd floor of  the Cedar Street Bridge has chosen the Foundation for Human Rights Action and Advocacy (FHRAA)
(BCHRTF's sister organization) as their recipient of this Giving Back event. A portion of their proceeds on this day will be  donated to FHRAA. Support a local business AND human rights.

The library will have multiples of each book available for check out.  Watch the events page on their website for times and registration information.  It's not there yet but will be coming soon.
  
Since 1985, Let’s Talk About It (LTAI) has been bringing adult reading discussion groups together with humanities scholars in Idaho’s public libraries to discuss literature.The presentation by, and interaction with, a program scholar is what sets these sessions apart from traditional book club discussions. 
The Let’s Talk About It program is made possible by the Idaho Humanities Council, the National Endowment for the Humanities, Idaho Comission for Libraries and a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services

Volunteers Needed for our Global Human Rights Celebration on December 10.  We need 2-3 more people to help set-up an/or clean up  for this event.
